Admittance to Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm is subject to the following conditions. If you do not comply with them you may be asked to leave by a member staff, without any right to a refund. This is without prejudice to any claim that we may have against you or arising out of your actions. Whilst visiting the Butterfly Farm, you must comply with any reasonable instructions given to you by a member of Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm staff.

Stratford upon Avon Butterfly Farm may change these terms and conditions from time to time without notice to you. Your continued use of the site following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of any change. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received. Continued use of this site shall also be deemed that you agree to abide by any COVID-19 regulation and advisories that are in place for indoor attractions at the time of your visit. 

Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm is a controlled tropical, humid, environment, operating at temperatures above 25 degrees. It is a living exhibition with butterflies, birds and iguanas having free range of the flight area.

 

General

No persons should enter the Butterfly Farm if they are feeling unwell in any way and should rearrange their visit for another day.

On entering the Butterfly Farm, you accept that you have a duty of responsibility to ensure your own safety and take into account any personal health or medical conditions that may be affected by being in a humid, tropical environment. All persons inside the Butterfly Farm and its surrounding gardens should behave in a safe manner at all times. 

For health and safety purposes, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, prams and buggies are the only transport device allowed inside the Butterfly Farm. Please ask reception staff for advice on where to leave children’s bikes and scooters as they are not allowed inside the Butterfly Farm.

You are politely asked not to bring inflated balloons (they will burst) or bubbles (the liquid will harm our plants and creatures) into the Butterfly Farm.

Children 16 years and under must be accompanied by a person of 18 years or over. Children must be supervised at all times in all areas and not left unattended.

Commitment to providing a service:

The Butterfly Farm will endeavour to ensure that as many displays as possible are available to visitors. Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm at its absolute discretion reserves the right to close any area of the Butterfly Farm & Wildflower Gardens at any time. The reason for any closure or restriction may include technical or maintenance reasons, capacity or inclement weather.

 

Bookings & Admissions

Tickets are bookable to book online. You must turn up at your chosen time to guarantee entrance. If you arrive early you may be asked to wait. If you arrive late you will be admitted at the next available space on the day.

Persons entering the Flight Area, Discovery Zone, Minibeast Metropolis and Rainforest Realm must pay for admission or hold a valid ticket. 

All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering information onto the system. All cardholders may be subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to, or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be reliable for any delay or non-delivery. We do not accept payment by cheque or postal orders. Processing is reserved against your card at the time an order is placed.

Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm reserves the right to change prices without notice.

Admission for children under the age of three is free.

Original tickets only – photocopies etc. will not be accepted. Lost tickets cannot be replaced under any circumstances.

All tickets including those bought online and gift tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable, not for resale and will become automatically void on any transfer for value. Dates and times for tickets purchased online may be amended by the purchaser by creating an account or by contacting enquiries@butterflyfarm.co.uk.

Tickets purchased are only valid on the date printed on the ticket and are void on expiry. 

Gift vouchers and season tickets are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are void on expiry.

Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase unless in exceptional circumstances and agreed with the General Manager. Refund requests cannot be authorised over the phone and must be put in writing either by post or email. Contact details are at the top of this policy.

No admission is required to browse the Nature Inspired Gift Shop, though entrance may be restricted as and when required.

Security

It is strictly forbidden to bring into the Butterfly Farm any offensive or dangerous weapons, fireworks, smoke bombs, glass bottles or other articles which may cause injury. The throwing of any article which could cause injury or affect the enjoyment of other guests is strictly prohibited. Any person found to be in possession of an article deemed offensive or dangerous will be immediately escorted from the Butterfly Farm without the right to a refund. Stratford-upon-Avon-Butterfly Farm reserves the right to report to the relevant authorities which may lead to prosecution.

The consumption of intoxicating liquor is not permitted in the Butterfly Farm. Persons found possessing alcohol, or who appear to be under the influence of alcohol may be refused entry to the Butterfly Farm or escorted from the Attraction without any right to a refund. The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited, and any persons found possessing, using or who appear to be under the influence of illegal substances will be refused entry or escorted from the Butterfly Farm without the right to a refund.

Items, belongings, any other property and equipment being brought into the Butterfly Farm is at your own risk, this includes Blue Badge parking bays, the cloakroom and surrounding gardens. Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage to any such property. We therefore recommend that you do not bring valuables to the Butterfly Farm.

Animals

Due to the nature of the environment inside the Butterfly Farm pets or animals of any nature are absolutely prohibited, including guide dogs, hearing dogs and registered assistance dogs. For more information on how to visit the Butterfly Farm if you have either a guide dog, hearing dog or registered assistance dog please refer to our access statement as there are provisions in place to support your visit to the Butterfly Farm.

Any animal should not be left in any vehicle parked at the Butterfly Farm. Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm reserves the right to contact any relevant authority to make and be responsible for any decision in relation to animals that are left unsupervised or are found to be in distress.

Guide dogs, hearing dogs and registered assistance dogs are welcome inside the Nature Inspired Gift Shop. Dogs on a lead are welcome in the Wildflower Gardens.

Photography

You are permitted to take photographs and recordings at Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm provided that these are solely for private use and are not sold or used for any commercial or public purpose unless permission has been given in writing by the Butterfly Farm. By accepting these conditions, you agree not to intentionally photograph or capture moving footage of any individual or individuals without the person's permission. Flash photography is forbidden in Minibeast Metropolis and Rainforest Realm.

During school holidays, high season weekends and bank holidays it is prohibited to bring in camera equipment and tripods, only small cameras or phone cameras will be allowed to take snapshots at these times.
